Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is Amal R. Alamuddin, a Lebanese British lawyer and human rights activist. An alumni of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her lengthy and successful career in the fields of human rights and international law has earned her acclaim internationally. Her high-profile clients have included several nation-states including the country of Armenia as it fights for recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney arranged for American actor George Clooney to marry him in the year 2014 and immediately became a household-name in popular entertainment. In the years prior to this she was respected and well-known in legal circles because of her success and ability to represent clients. She has tackled human and civil rights issues and representing multinational corporations in court cases as well as negotiations regarding the regulations of government.
