Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian who has been around for some time. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly than her stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984) is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comedian. Bea was first seen as part of the cast in Irish or British television programs in 2009, started her career as an stand-up comic in 2011. In 2012, she started to regularly appear on sketches and sitcoms. Following her win during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for different panel shows, where she has become a fixture. She's a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's an extremely popular contestant on its spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Born in the family of Brian O'Sullivan and his wife, she was blessed with one sister named Sinead. She was the only female winner of So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. Bea is her maiden name in honor of her deceased father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also referred to as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town in County Kildare. Her father Brian was a veterinarian for horses that committed suicide at three-years-old. However, she didn't discover the reason for her father's death until 13 years later. The stage name Bea was in tribute to her father. Bea was the author of an opinion piece for The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea's mom Helen She is an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey, was the one responsible for raising her and Sinead. Her family were racing and horse-related. Bea began her career as tourist guides at Irish National Stud. But she realized her love was performing and not racing.
